As promised

Here are some fun projects I worked on over the weekend.  I love them!  They are not only pretty and cute but also functional.  I found both of these projects on Pinterest, my new addiction.

For the dessert plate, I bought the candle stick holder from the dollar store and the plates from Wal-mart,   and the draw pull on top, hardware removed, from Hobby Lobby.  I spray painted the candle holders white then lightly sprayed them with a nickel spray paint.  Then I used epoxy to glue them together.  I have always wanted one of these but would never pay the $$ for one.  Can't want to use it!

The cake plate soap dish was assembled the same way.  I found the plate and the candle stick holder at Pier 1, and the candle holder was on clearance!  I spray painted the candle holder Ivy Leaf green.

And here is mine....

On another note, it is raining here on the Space Coast today.  I now what your thinking but, we have not got much rain this year and we are in desperate need of it.  Half the state of FL is on fire right know.  So thank God for the rain and some lower temps.  I have some non paper related projects to post tomorrow, so check back then.

From trash to treasure.

Not long ago I received an e-mail from my BFF, it was an invite to follow her on Pinterest.  I had not been on or heard of it before.  I clicked the link, created a login and a few click later I had a new addiction!    There are so many cool things out there!  I LOVE all the refinished furniture projects.  I love them so much in fact that I wanted to refinish something.  So last weekend the hubby and I were out and about and stopped by the local Goodwill.  I found a little coffee table for $10.  Needless to say, it came home with me.  I cleaned, sanded, primed, painted and varnished it.  Now it sits in my living room.

After.

I was going to replace the marble with glass be decided to keep it because it is an orange red color and the colors in my living room is reds and chocolate brown.  I think it turned out great.  The glass on the table will be 2 different shades of red and a cream color very soon (also something I saw on Pinterest).  Once they are complete I will post pics.

Mojo Monday 238

I'm a little behind on Mojo Monday being it is Wednesday.  This week has gone haywire!  Our internet was down for 3 days, and after 3 different service people came out to "fix" the issue, the modem was finally replaced and we are back up and running.  So with no further delay, here is the Mojo Monday Sketch...

And here is mine...

What do you think?

Thanks for looking!

Best homemade cinnamon rolls ever!

Ok, so I know this has nothing to do with paper, but I had to share this with you.  These are so yummy.  The only thing I changed was, instead of butter, I used "I can't believe it's not butter" spray and I added 1 tsp of almond extract to the glaze.Click here for the recipe.

Hello, and welcome to Monday!

I hope it was good to you.

Here is the Mojo Monday sketch for this week.

And here is my offering.

This is a very cute layout, I can see using this one over and over.  I love doing this challenge because I make so many wonderful cards, and when I need one I just go the my box and pull one out and send it on it's way.

Have an awesome week!

I have finished my Mother's Day cards early!
I can not believe I have got these finished soooo early.  LOL!

Here is how I made the pink and yellow layer.  I used glossy white paper, stamped a flourish stamp using VersaMark.  Covered VM with white embossing powder and used my heat tool to emboss.  I then used Regal Rose and Daffodil Delight and sponged the color on.  I used doubled sided tape to pop up the sentiment.  The finished card 5 1/2 x 4 1/4   I just love them.

Have a wonderful day!
